I was really excited to use this but when i downloaded the packet there was large black squares wherever a letter or word was supposed to be. Is there a way this can be fixed?

You must be using a MAC and are looking at the product through preview. Just follow these directions from TpT on how to use adobe correctly, and you will be fine.
If you purchased a PDF and it looks blurry or has black lines after you open it, solve it this way: on a MAC or PC, install the latest version of ADOBE READER. Then, open the file with ADOBE READER. That's it. On a MAC, make sure to "Open With" ADOBE READER and NOT Preview. If it's still blurry, that's because you are still opening it with Preview!
