Hi Mark,
I was wondering if your comments are just for end of the year? I teach 5th and 6th grade English and need 2nd trimester comments.
Thanks so much!
Sincerely,
Ann Greenfield

The comments are for the end of a trimester, or one-third of the year. They are not summative, year ending comments.

Mphshorns(c) re: Lesson Plan: Twelve Tables of Roman Law Using Classroom as Courtroom
I purchased the Twelve TAbles Courtroom Lesson. The last page is aRoman quiz answer sheet, but I do not see any quiz included. Can you tell me what this is?

Good question. I make up a five question quiz on the spot after the four hours of study/activity are done. Just to get another grade into the book.

Thanks for this. I'm curious why there is not a definition of "fraction" included.

That's a good question. I don't find that the definition "a fraction is a part of a whole" is as difficult for middle school students to understand or remember as the other terms. Thanks, Mark

Do the comments only deal with the human body....I cover cells, force and motion, and volcanoes and earthquakes....Thanks Jack_Duquette@landon.net

Indeed, these comments are not intended to be topic-specific to any one unit(s) of study in science. They are intended to help teachers write general learning, behavior, and effort statements regarding science class, no matter what the untis of study are. I hope this helps.

Hello Aaron. I was wondering if there was a site for ARCH discipline. I am interested in reading more.

"ARCH" and its components were the original creation of a special K-12 committee at my school. There are no external resources that I know for it and I don't know if or where it exists elsewhere. If you like it, please use it and expand upon it as you wish. I appreciate all positive feedback on ARCH.

How many Romans does it take to change a light bulb? My answer is zero since they didn't have light bulbs, but that's too logical an answer.

None........ because they had non Roman slaves to do it, and everything else, for them.

Hi! My students and I are enjoying all the activities for Ancient Rome. I knew most of the answers when I looked over it the first time, but I realized I don't know the answer to the riddle. I can guess at it, but I'd like to know what you were thinking. Thank you!

Which riddle in which activity? I have a lot posted on Rome on this site. I would be glad to give it but need a bit more information. Thanks for using my materials!

Hi, I am interested in your Mrs frisby unit, but cant get the preview to open. How many pages is it? How does it work if I buy, do you mail to me, or send me the file, or . . .

If you buy the plans then you download it directly through this website to your computer as a Microsoft Word document. I don't send it to you. There is a preview to view but you must join TpT as a buyer (for free) to access that. The entire document is approximately 7-10 pages, I am not sure as I type this since I can't see it right now. But it is substantial.

Sorry about that. I have had this complaint a couple of other times on this site. It is not me and my product, it is the website that is having the issues with file downloads. I guess it was the social studies comments you ordered and I can see that you paid so I will send a copy from my school email account as an attachment and include extra material in the file as an apology. Mark
