This is a lesson plan template formatted in Microsoft Word. It prints out nicely on three sheets of regular paper, and allows you to easily move the "stuff you didn't get to" by simply moving the box. I formatted it with text boxes, and it is very easy to use. There is also a nice little key with abbreviations that you can use in order to make your plans shorter. One thing that I did was color code things that needed to be collected ('cause I forget). It is very easy to change this lesson plan so that it fits your schedule. Just type in the times you want, and, if you need to, stretch the text boxes. The extra long text boxes are for subjects like lunch or Daily Oral Language, which will be the same for every day. You can really save yourself some time by using something like this. Plus, it's a lot harder to lose lesson plans if they exist on the computer! Sorry the preview looks weird, but I couldn't figure out how to show you what it kind of looks like without deleting a bunch of boxes.

I've been teaching since 2000. I taught sheltered 6th grade in a low-income district near Chicago for 4 years, and 3rd and 4th grade for two years. I also taught 2nd and 3rd grade summer school. I earned National Board Certification in 2008. I currently work as an ESL/ELL specialist teacher for K-5. I do both small group (pull-out) teaching as well as co-teaching in regular classrooms.
