I see so many possibilities with this lesson! I was planning on an Egyptian unit this month with my kiddos and I know this will be a highlight! Thanks so much!
We are so excited that you are excited! This is a favorite lesson/activity with a seldom used medium. We followed the same procedure with toy dinosaurs during a study of Geological Time and produced great fossils.
We also have a lesson plan for studying the Portrait of Queen Nefertiti as well as coloring pages/lesson ideas for The Great Sphinx, the Cover of the Coffin of Tutankhamen (detail),
and the Bust of Queen Nefertiti - in case you are interested.
Hope your Egyptian unit goes well! -S and A
