This 26 slide interactive PowerPoint presentation about heat energy includes many animated graphics that hold students' interest. There are question slides at the end to assess learning and build upon existing knowledge. A two page worksheet is included, and it covers the key points in the lesson. The students learn about the sources of heat, conduction, convection, radiation, measuring heat, conductors, insulators and more.

There were a few mistakes on the powerpoint. On the slide that is titled "What are Conductors" it says Heat moves quickly through insulators. It should have said heat moves quickly through conductors. There were also a few problems with the graphics covering the words. However, I did really like all the information the pp provided.
Hi,
Thank you for letting me know about the issues with the Heat PPT. I have changed the fonts and some of the pictures to better fit with all computers. The insulator sentence has been corrected also. I apologize for any inconvenience.

A little beyond the third grade standards we are trying to meet, but we are going to make it work. Love that the notes are accessible for kids and align well with the powerpoint!
