Skills: Students will practice reading skills with both fiction and nonfiction books. Spiders by Gail Gibbobs and Diary of a Spider. Students will work with writing prompts, poetry, and note taking. Students will practice experiments on spider webs and how spiders eat. This unit is filled with 40 pages of integrated Spider fun.

Included in this file you will find vocabulary, KWL, writing prompts, poems, similes, spider facts, anticipation guide, fact and opinion, centers, spider research, diagrams, making words, pre reading and post reading activities, venn diagrams, and life cycle diagram.

This is a perfect unit to jump start October with your classroom. Grab some spider rings and tapioca pudding ( for spider eggs!)
