** This is an open-ended literacy activity for the pocket chart. It makes a great Literacy Center. It can be used in a Housekeeping Center, an other dramatic play area, and/or as part of a Unit on Healthy Foods. The children can pretend to make vegetable soup by using the vegetable word & picture cards and picking out which ones to add to the soup by placing them in the pocket chart. Try adding play foods and a cooking pot for added fun!
** Also included are more sentence starters and color words for added SIGHT WORD and READING practice and other extension activities.
