In Let’s Sing the Alphabet, students will sing about familiar objects that begin with each letter of the alphabet. These songs will help students develop letter identification, letter/sound correspondence, sign language and concepts about print with the added enjoyment of singing familiar tunes. These tunes include: Mulberry Bush, London Bridge, Mary had a Little Lamb, Wheels on the Bus, and the Farmer in the Dell. This download includes 80 pages, of instructions on how to use the songs in your classroom and for each letter of the alphabet, you will receive: a color copy of each song; a blackline copy of each song with blank boxes for students to draw their own illustrations; and enlarged, colored pictures for the teacher to make a chart size version of the song for the classroom! By having these enlarged pictures in color ready to print, this will save teachers time and hassle of coloring and enlarging pictures!

Classroom Instructions:
Monday- Introduce the song to the class using the enlarged, chart size version. Discuss the pictures and point to the words as you read each song.
Tuesday- Reread the song. Have students identify the focus letter you are working on. Use highlighter tape or wikki sticks.
Wednesday- Pass out one blackline copy of the song to each student. Students will sing the song and draw illustrations in each blank box. Post the enlarged chart size version for students to refer to. Store these songs in a notebook or 3-prong folder to take home weekly or at the end of the year.
Thursday- Pass out highlighters to each student. Highlight focus letter in the song.
Friday- Students can buddy read/sing the song of the week with a friend and enjoy going back and reading old songs throughout the year!
