Letter Sound Practice including ASL and Phoneme Mouth Placement

The following document is simply my occasional escape from the redundancy of the scripts.

Also, when I make materials for my students, I never teach the vowels or consonants in alphabetic order because when Special Education students memorize the alphabet song, the letters L-M-N-O-P become a lemon and a pea.

Sing it with me, ABCDEFG...HIJK a lemon and a pea, QRS...TUV...WX...Y and Z. Now, I know my ABCs next time won't you sing with me.

The letters in this document are presented in the order of most commonly used sounds in the english language.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach Special Education and love it. Being a teacher of special education simply means that I have to teach in a special way. My job is like putting a puzzle together...you just need to keep trying until you find the piece that fits. The same thing is true for technology. Students and teachers need programs and hardware that can be integrated into the curriculum effortlessly and useful for all. Also, I sponsor our school's STLP (Student Technology Leadership Program) for 5th and 6th graders.
