This packet of 3 checklists is to send home with students. It includes one for sound id, one for uppercase letter id and one for lowercase letter id. The teacher would highlight the sounds and/or letters (upper and/or lowercase) that the student needs to practice. There are directions at the top of each checklist as if written by the student asking for help. The parent or tutor will work with the student at home on the various skills and can highlight when they feel the student has mastered that skill. If the teacher chooses, the parent can send the sheet back to school when completed or they can keep it at home. It is a great way to communicate with parents and to make a super school/home connection. Plus it is a nice visual for the student to see which skills they are working on and can even color in the smilie themselves when the skill is mastered.
This is a great way for students to get practice with letters using the environmental print at home and an opportunity for parents to work with their child and know what skills he/she needs to work on.

Very useful for assessment. I use two at the same time; one for the student to take home, and one for me to keep at school.
