This original song, to the tune of Wheels on the Bus, provides phonemic awareness for pre-K through Kindergarten. I wrote this song several years ago when I was teaching 3-year-old pre-K. I was amazed at the success I they achieved with it. I brought it over to Kindergarten and found that my lower level students really connected to the lyrics.

I love the song. I'm thinking of using it as a filler and secret assessment of initial sounds. This will work well for those short wait periods in the classroom = waiting in line for the bathroom, lining up in the playground, outside the bathroom, one of the circle songs. We can use our inside voices and have fun calling for initial sounds out of alpha sequence. Thanks IVR
