This lesson plan is the culminating lesson plan for a thematic unit called Life Happens: A Closer look at the life cycles of a butterfly, frog and chicken. The unit covered the life cycles of the butterfly, frog, and chicken. Students learned vocabulary associated with each life cycle, the stages each animal went through in their life, and read rich literature as concepts were introduced in this unit.
