A PowerPoint presentation designed to be used in conjunction with a SmartBoard to teach physics students about Linear Motion and Free Fall. I print out handouts (two to a page) and make copies for my students to use as notes. the presentation incorporates a class experiment referred to as "Race Day." I have my students set up a 10-meter course(known distance) and race physics carts to see who can acquire the best time (each student records own time). Then students calculate average speed, final velocity and acceleration.
