This is a handout that I pass out at the beginning of the reading of The Odyssey. We read a selection out of our textbook (Elements of Literature) so the translation is very readable. These are not highly motivated students; therefore, included in this is a handout that explains each literary term and gives and example. There is also a chart in which students record any examples they can find while reading.
