(Literary Terms) This is a Word Document that accompanies the Literary Device PowerPoint presentation. It helps define and exemplify the most common literary devices taught in high school. It is a great way to introduce literary devices or review them. I have used this presentation for 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students. This worked well with the power point and kept everyone engaged. I used this with a younger group of students than was recommended by switching out some of the examples with titles of books or stories that I knew would be more fitting. I was surprised with how much discussion the definitions initiated. This was exactly what I was looking for.
