A Star Wars inspired Literature Circles packet that can be used throughout the school year, or can be used for one book (maybe a science fiction one) or one quarter. I use different Literature Circle themes each quarter so my students are always highly engaged in their Literature Circle assignments!

Just think! Your kids can have the following roles:

Question Seeker (Yoda)
Summarizing Stormtrooper
C3PO Connector
Word Wookie (free in the preview file)
Poetry Princess (Princess Leia)
Darth Vader Visualizer
Passage Padawan (Luke Skywalker)
R2D2 Articulator
Story Mapping Solo (Han Solo)

I love using Literature Circles in my classroom, but I have found that as the year progresses, my students get a little bored with the same job sheet format! I created these for students to use while reading one title (I created other themes as well).

I put one of each form into a three prong folder and the students must rotate jobs and complete one of each sheet by the time they end the book. There are some weeks when they combine two shorter jobs together (like poetry and visualization). They have the plan out the pages they will be reading for the entire book and record them in the chart provided so everyone knows their assignments!

Using themes for each book has really increased my students' engagement and interest in the Literature Circles in our classroom! I hope you have success as well!

Very cute... totally enhanced my Origami Yoda lit circles! Introduced some new jobs to me that I don't typically use. The kids loved it.

These things are the coolest ever. They have Star Wars on them, and quality isn't compromised for the sake of forcing characters into it. The sheet titles are actually quite cleverly blended with character names. And there's Star Wars on it. I demand a version for super heroes, The Nightmare Before Christmas for Halloween, Star Trek, Dr. Who... I'll think of some more later.
