My students love this voluntary homework project and I love how much their writing skills improve. Included in this set:
*Instruction sheets
*Parent letter which includes a sample for parents to look at(for red and green covered books in case you have two classes)
*Recording sheets to keep track of student progress.
*Reward tags (two versions to choose from for each class)
*Writers book cover to give to students as a prize.
I complete a book to show kids how to do this and this year I had them complete one along with me in class before sending home the letter and a book. I begin this project in January in my Kindergarten classes and continue until May. I give kids prizes for each book they write and share in class and then keep their books to return to them on the last day of school with some other prizes. I have included detailed directions in the packet.
If you need the letter sent to you in a different format so you can alter it please let me know after you purchase and I will email it to you.
