This is a 6 activity printable ideal for independent word work stations or centers. It focuses on long a (a_e pattern).
The activities are described below.
Activity #1: Students will use the frames on p.4 to �frame� the words on p.3. After �framing� the words, the student will record 5 of the words on the companion sheet (p.5) and write a sentence using the word.
Activity #2: Students will use a highlighter to highlight the words that have the a_e spelling pattern (p.6). Then, they record the words that they highlight.
Activity #3: Students will sort a_e words and short a words by cutting and pasting them into the correct column (p.7)
Activity #4: Write the a_e word. Stamp the word. (p.8)
Activity #5: Students will illustrate and assemble a mini-book of a_e words (p.9).
Activity #6: Students will create a fold-and-flip organizer where they will either write or paste real words or silly words (i.e. nonsense words).
Option A: Create double-sided copies of p.11 & 12 to make the fold-and-flip and use the cut-outs found on p.15 to sort and paste.
Option B: Create double-sided copies of p.11 & 13 to make the fold-and-flip, and pre-cut the word cards on p.14. Students then select the cards from a stack, read them, and determine if they are real words or silly words. They record the words on the lines. There will be more cards than recording space. The cards could also be used independently for reading practice.

I love your things. But everytime I download something it appears with big black streaks on some of the pages, including the long a item I just bought. Do you know why this is? I'm hesitant to purchase more as I can't always use some of the pages. It's such a bummer. Thanks for having them up there anyway!

This is easy to fix, so no worries! If you are a Mac user, you need Adobe Acrobat Reader X. If doing that doesn't work, try these options: - If you're a Mac user, switch browsers (i.e. if you're currently opening in Firefox, try opening in Internet Explorer or Safari) - Make sure you check Adobe under "open with" to verify that that Adobe is the program you're using to open the document and not "preview" - Try opening the document from an entirely different computer (open directly from TpT) Please let me know if any of these option help and, if they don't, you'll have to contact TpT for a refund (sellers don't handle anything money-related). Let me know if there's anything else I can do on my end to make this right! Thanks again for your purchase and have a great day!

I just bought your long 0 and long A vowel activity sets. However, I must not have the correct font because on many of the pages there is no writing on them...just a gray blur where the writing should be. Any ideas on how to fix??
