Students learn the different vowel patterns that make the long o sound by playing Dominoes. Students are asked to match up words that share the same long o vowel pattern. For example,a student can matched float with boat because they both share the oa vowel pattern. Another student can matched hope with cope because they share the o_e vowel pattern. Students record their matches on a recording sheet.
