Help your primary students recognize long vowel phonemes and know their sounds with my long vowel flip book!
Two pages are included on each sheet. Just copy on cardstock, cut in half, laminate and you are ready to go. Comb bind at the top or bottom to secure your flip book and it is easy to grab and use with your students (or just flip the cards like flashcards if you do not want to bind it). My students actually ask to use my flip books during inside recess.
The following long vowel phonemes are included:
Long A = ace, ade, ain, ake, ale, ame, ase, ate, ay
Long E = eed each, eak, eal, eam, eat, eep
Long I = ice, ide, ight, ike, ile, ime, ine, ite, ive
Long O = oad, oat, oake, old, ome, ose
Long U = ube, ue, uit, une, ute, ule
Chants are simple. Say the sound of the phoneme twice and then the key word. My students like to make up motions to go with the word (or make up your own ahead of time).
Use the book to introduce new phonemes, as a warm up to your lesson or for review. Your students will become more familiar with some long vowel phonemes and then, will use them to help decode unknown words!

*This book is also sold in a bundle with my beginning blends and short vowel flip books.
***** NOTE ***** All the illustrations are simple, black line drawings so that teachers without access to a color printer can use them as well as those with color printer access. I copy mine on colored card stock to brighten them up!
