Hi, Edelblut!
This is really odd. I googled your name a couple of weeks ago. It looks like you have really made a name for yourself in Colorado pharmaceutical circles! I am an old guy now (just turned 66). Happily married, happily retired, happily free of kids (they're all grown and gone), have been clean and sober for over 20 years. Except for a stiff hip from jogging too much over the years, I am in good health. I live in Morgan Hill, CA--a small town located about 30 miles south of San Francisco Bay. I still love California. Visited New Orleans the year before Katrina and was appalled at how much the area around St. Andrews had gone down. That used to be such a nice area! It looked to me as if the whole New Orleans area was rotting away before Katrina showed up. At any rate, it is really good to hear from you. As beautiful as you are, I figured you would be married and be mom to several beautiful kids by now. Was surprised to get a hit on your maiden name. Maybe you did like my wife--get married but keep your birth name. I don't care what my wife calls herself, as long as she continues to put up with me. That's enough rambling from me, Kathy. It is great to hear from you.
God bless
John

Mr. McCotter,
I am Nicki Scafidi - St. Andrews (go Archers). I hope you remember me and my brothers. You taught me 7th & 8th grade Social Studies around 76-77, I guess. I just saw your comment about Amazon selling your book, which sadly we no longer have. I have thought many times about trying to get a copy, but now I really don't know where to go. My brother Chris has just completed his first manuscript and it is good. Of course it takes place in NOLA. I can see by your bio here you have been very successful with your teaching and methods - that were working before you really even had methods and I can say that because you were my very best teacher. - college included. I hope you are still teaching, though if I am almost 48, you must be old, man! I picture you the same though and am glad you were there for all the kids that came after me. We lost our home in Katrina and are now in Austin. I wish you continued success in your teaching and writing. And if you know how I can get a copy of "No Marauding Indians and Other Stories" I would be honored to have a copy. My email is ncain@us.ibm.com.
