A fun activity to celebrate St. Patrick's Day while practicing reading words containing r-controlled vowels. This activity contains 92 word cards. Students take turns choosing cards and reading words. Pick a "Lucky You" card and take two more cards or pick the leprechaun and put them all back. This activity can be used either during small group instruction or within your literacy centers.

I am a RtI Coordinator working closely with K-3rd grade teachers providing hands-on support and professional development in the area of reading. My focus is using assessment data to guide classroom instruction as well as intervention for at-risk learners. Make, Take & Teach is my way of providing teachers with the materials they need for their small group intervention. Most activities can also be used in literacy centers. Teacher intervention kits contain 15 activities (already printed for you in color and on 90lb cardstock) which align to one of the Big Five Ideas and commonly adminstered assessments (e.g. DIBELS Next).
