Teach probability as well as graphing through this fun project using snack-sized or larger bags of M&M candies. Students use calculators to calculate the fraction, decimal, and percent of each color and then graph the colors on the grid paper which is provided. They also find the mean, mode, median, and range of the number of M&M's each group member or classmate has. This project only proves that the way to a child's mind can sometimes be through his stomach. Of course, students get to eat their M&M's upon completion of this activity.
