This Powerpoint lesson covers the following terms/topics: The Difference Between Mass and Weight; Measuring the Volume of a Liquid, the Graduated Cylinder; Using the Formula for Finding the Volume of Regular Solids, and Finding the Volume of Irregular Solids Using Water Displacement. This is all in this part of the presentation. To view the contents of part 1 click below.
What's The Matter? Everything! Is a 34 slide presentation packed full of information. Due to the number of slide, and the numerous, quality pictures used to illustrate how to find mass and volume, the file size was too big to post as one piece (It's over 34 MB).
Both presentations encourage student interaction through questioning. Text is introduced through animations that are visually appealing with great sound effects.
Part 1 is 13 slides about Matter, Mass, and Using the Triple-Beam Balance. You can view it by clicking below.

Help
I have taught for 12 years in a school with a very diverse population. My inclusion classrooms include special education students who perform academically as low as 1st or 2nd grade. My enriched classes have students with college reading levels and some that are taking Math classes with 7th and 8th grade. Having lessons and activities that can be adapted to varying ability levels is critical.
