Handwriting practice can often be tedious... so get your students excited about practicing the d'nealian upper case letters by using my MAGIC LETTERS lessons! For each lower case letter there is a recorded page (push play and the letter is "magically" written 4-6 times). Have your students write in the air with a finger or pencil and they'll feel like THEY are magically writing the letter on your SmartBoard! You are free to give verbal instructions on letter formation and everyone is able to see (since you are not blocking anyone's view). A printable page is also included for each letter (practice writing from a starting point and without a starting point and draw some items that begin with the letter). (upper case letters are also available) I hope this SmartBoard lessons is a fun addition to your handwriting program! Lisa Rombach

Great resource but I couldn't figure out how to make the letters trace themselves so students could see how to make them. Still working on figuring it out.

Hi! Thanks so much for the comment. Just FYI, the letters will not trace over themselves. I usually have them practice in the air with me modeling first and then I push "play" and they pretend they are writing them on the smartboard as the recording plays. You can push the stop button and the writing will disappear so you can do it again. On the second line, I have volunteers see if they can write them as well as the "magic" writing. :-) I apologize if the description or teacher's page wasn't clear on this. I will add a line about it in the description and the teacher's page. I still hope that the file will be useful for you. Again, thanks so much! Lisa

If you don't have this software, unfortunately this file will not open. You can click "contact us" at the bottom of the page, email TPT and request a refund.
