This is a great activity that can be used as a center or done whole class. It's primary focus is working on the magic "e" rule that can be adapted into a history lesson. All the handouts are available and it takes very little prep time. Students will create a slate(chalkboard) out of construction paper and then write their magic "e" words with chalk. When finshed they are to write their new words into sentences.
