This pack included leveled options, so that this can be used with different age and ability groups. I have included three leveled activity sheet options. The first option is a set of multiple choice questions where student select the correct main idea, meaning of the word, and inference/prediction. The second option provided for each passage is where students must write the main idea, meaning of the word, and inference/prediction. The third option is identical to the second option except that large handwriting lines are provided. I have also included center options for each passage. For the centers, there is a one page colored version of the story, a one page black and white version of the story, with three options for response sheets; multiple choice, short answer with small lines, and short answers with handwriting lines.
Every pack requires students to write or choose the main idea and best definition of a word based on context clues. Three passages require students to make an inference. Nine passages require students to make a prediction.

Great resource for my middle school special education students. They love the high interest, but low readability!

I love these activities, my only thought is changing the font, because on some of the stories it looks as though the first letter of the sentence is not an upper case letter. I was excited that my kids noticed :). This packet is still a wonderful resource for my intervention block. Thank you for a great product!
