Main Idea Street is not your ordinary street.
Students learn about main idea by placing each detail house onto the correct main idea street! This is a fun way to teach main idea to students. This game is aligned to Common Core Standards RL.1 and RL.2 as well as RI.1 and RI.2 which addresses main idea and details.
Students play the second game, Main Idea Match Up by matching detail cards with their main ideas.
This fun pack includes two different main idea literacy centers and a set of 12 colorful main idea task cards. All of this for the low price of $4.50.
The task cards integrate social studies, science, and reading. They address both nonfiction and fiction.

I greatly appreciate your feedback. Students range in ability level, but this is the first time I have received that feedback. Many of my products are differentiated because students vary so much in their ability. More content will be added soon to meet different readability ranges.

Is this appropriate for third grade students or is it too easy and obvious for them?

Literacy and Math Ideas (TpT Seller)
I am a K-8th instructional coach that works with low and gifted students. The question is hard to answer because it all depends on the level of your students. If your students are average performing third graders, I would recommend the Differentiated Main Idea task cards since they are at two level ranges in one document. If your class is really high performing, I would actually recommend the Inference or Figurative Language Exit slips because the reading level is higher. This document was designed for middle school students, but delves into deeper analysis while still addressing "kid-friendly" topics.
