This activity is used to help students understand that a Main Idea is supported by details from the text just like a table needs support from legs to stand.
Once the student fill the organizer with information you cut it out and glue it together. Now they will have a 3D visual of their information!

I just did this with my intervention group in second grade and it went beautifully!!!! thank you so much...the kids had a great time and really grasped the concept of main idea with the table visual. I will most definitely use this again.
