The Lesson Lady presents Make Your Own Rainstick Lesson! This PowerPoint presentation will teach your students the steps to make their own rain stick in class from start to finish.
I have found that students of all ages, even high school students, have a wonderful time making a rainstick in class. It uses basic materials including empty paper towel tubes, a marker, masking or duct tape, dressmaker or quilting pins such as those shown here (http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/productdetail.jsp?pageName=search&flag=true&PRODID=prd3130), rice, duct tape or paper mache, and paint.
Each step is illustrated in PowerPoint and described in detail as well. The lesson takes about 4 one hour periods to complete.
