This lesson download includes what you need to introduce, motivate, guide, and create an awesome graphic design project with your students based on the silhouette image, white text, and solid background design of the iPod and iTunes advertisements.
Your download will include:
1. A Powerpoint with a short movie of an iTunes/iPod ad, still examples, and "iDeas" for personalizing the project, and a finished example of the personalized project.
2. Two worksheets to help students brainstorm their ideas.
3. Article that I published with general instructions for how to use Adobe Photoshop Elements to create this project.
4. Watch my "how to" movie for more detailed instructions below.
5.
What a fun idea! I don't have access to our computer lab for my regular K-8 classes, but this will be great to do with some of my home schoolers. Thanks!
PS
I love your blog... I'm excited to find you on TpT!
This project was amazing and so captivating for students!!! I did this project with my 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students and it was their favorite thing they did all quarter in any classroom. I would recommend this to anyone!
I actually teach seventh grade math. I am certainly not an artist, but I plan to use this in my advisory class so the students can have fun and get to know a little about each other.
Thank you so much for creating and offering this project for free. I love it, and would have gladly paid for it. I was looking for a project for technology enrichment class and this is exactly what I wanted!
This particular project results in a still image. If you want to move and animate your images there are lots of ways to accomplish this. I was animating using Keynote on a MAC. Keynote is part of the iWorks suite. I have a tutorial on my wiki showing how to undo this. It begins here: http://fugleflicks.wikispaces.com/Project1
This is great, but I cannot open the "How to" Video. When I open the slide show audio file, it just plays some music and opens my itunes. I really would love to do this! Thanks!
I have a couple tutorials online:

look at the description underneath to find links to more information and another online tutorial.
Have fun!

I would love to use this Free Make an iPod or iTunes Ad iExpress Project for my 8th grade students, however, I cannot get the files open. What do I need to to do to get the files converted to Microsoft Office Word 2003?
Hi-
The files are PDFs and a Powerpoint. No need to convert. You can open them using http://www.openoffice.org/ if you don't have powerpoint on your computer.
Have fun!
