Great wrap-up project for the end of the school year! My classes have enjoyed this simple project where they use paper templates of paper dolls to create their own dolls to represent a non-Western culture we have studied in our last units. This assignment gave my creative, artistic students a wonderful chance to shine, and the content pulled from all of my students was rich and cumulative for the end of the year. In the end, I have a super display of hand-to-hand paper dolls around my room, allowing my students to make clear comparisons and to see and appreciate the differences and similarities.
