"Making Multiples of Ten" is a mental math strategy that should follow "Making Ten." Students will use their prior knowledge of making ten to recognize that number combinations such as 24+6 or 52+8 add to make a multiple of ten.
This mental math strategy pack includes everything that you need to teach your students the important strategy of "Making Multiples of Ten." Included is independent seat work, flashcards, center activities, whole class kinesthetic learning activities and more!
This is a great reinforcement for this concept - poster, activities, games, worksheets that really make the kids think. I credit this unit for helping many of my struggling students (I teach fifth grade).
I love every one of Shelley's addition and subtraction strategy units! She does a great job of breaking the strategies down into simple steps and includes lots of ways to practice. I've used these within my guided math groups.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave meaningful feedback on all of your purchases! I am so happy to hear that you have found everything useful. Have a great weekend!

This is an excellent unit, just like your others. Our math program introduces many of the same strategies you cover in your units, but it doesn't give the kids the practice they need to really master the skill and make it their own. I love that your mini units give the kids so many ways to practice the stategy and, therefore, become more comfortable using it. You rock!
Thanks for providing such specific feedback! It really means so much to me that this series of units is able to help students master such important mental math skills. Again, thank you!
