Making Words is a great activity to work on phoneme isolation, segmenting sounds, and blending sounds to make words. This packet includes Blends (with both short vowels and long vowels with silent e. You will find ten different making word directions which include their own recording sheets.
*The letters underlined are to show the right position. The line goes under the letter.
Suggestions for use:
*Small group (great way to quick check your students when working on vowel sounds)
*Whole group (when doing whole group, project this to a board and students will LOVE going to the board to write the word)
*Sub plans (already ready to go for you with directions. These lessons take about 20-30 minutes)
*Classroom Aide (great tool for reviewing one-on-one with students)
My students love these making words activities. Thanks for doing blends and the double vowels. They are so great in a small group of my struggling 2nd grade readers!!!
