I am so excited to post my...Making Words/Mystery Words by the Month! With this 65 paged download you will receive 12 sets of whole group large letter tickets for all 12 months of the year, smaller letter tickets for student centers or individual use, student task cards for each month, and student recording sheets. Children learn how words work and how they relate to one another through making words activities and writing. These mystery word activities will give your students opportunities to explore words or parts of words by moving the letter cards or tickets to create words. This can be done in small group or individually as a center. Students will have a blast as they make as many two letter, three letter, four letter, and five letter words as they can. Afterward they place ALL of the letter cards together to figure out the mystery word and write a sentence. Use the larger cards to model for your students.
