This March Holiday Writing Mini-Lessons and Craftivities pack combines both Feelin' Lucky and Leap Into a Good Book. Both of these items are also sold separately.
Although this 9 page activity could be used ANY time of year, Leap Into a Good book offers a perfect opportunity to celebrate Leap Year AND Dr. Seuss' birthday. With this project, students will create an adorable little frog, create a swimsuit for the frog to wear in the pond and a book for the frog to read. Dr. Seuss inspired hats are included along with all of the blacklines necessary for the frog, bathing suits, and books.
Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with this little leprechaun kid craftivity. It accompanies Feelin' Lucky's writing mini-lesson. Feelin’ Lucky is an 18 page expository writing lesson and activity coupled with an adorable leprechaun craft. There are black lines for a boy and a girl leprechaun.
The pack includes a detailed writing lesson that spans 4 days. However, you could make adjustments and combine a couple of the days depending on the needs of your students.
It addresses Common Core Standards K.W.2, 1.W.2, 2.W.2
Great unit, but I thought I was purchasing it for older students... bummed that I can't use it with my kiddos, but I passed it along to a teacher in my building who teaches 1st grade!

I came across this money poster on Pinterest. Is this yours? If so, do you sell it? Thanks! http://pinterest.com/pin/272045633711273463/
I have taught primary for over 15 years. I am passionate about teaching literacy and try to incorporate it into all subject areas whenever possible. I enjoy creating things for the kiddos in my class and sharing those things with you.
