This was such a cute activity for my Kinders. St Patrick's day is not really celebrated here in Italy, but my calendar for March is full of shamrocks. It was nice for them to have another graphing activity, as we have been creating loads of charts and graphs. They thought the patterns were super cute, as do I, and they learned new vocabulary!!!! I am searching for the egg sort and graph that you had up!

I am currently student teaching in an awesome 1st grade class and we have been working on "less/more likely" and "certain/not certain" statements. All of your items are ADORABLE and I plan on implementing this graph tomorrow!!! Students will be in groups of 2 or 3 and will have 1 copy per group. Students will document how many of each shamrock there is. The shamrocks will be placed in a brown bag. Students will take turns picking a shamrock out and recording that type on the chart. The first shamrock to fill up the graph is the winner. As a class, we'll discuss which is more/less likely to win and if any are certain/not certain. Before playing, students should predict which shamrock they think will win.
Thank you for sharing!
