I always gave my students quizzes on videos we watched in class. They are designed to be instruments requiring simple attention while viewing each presentation. This video is practically essential in a high school study of Twain, in my opinion. It was made in 1981, directed by Peter H. Hunt, screenplay by Philip H. Reisman, Jr. The full name of the story is "The Private History of a Campaign That Failed." The quiz has fifteen questions, ten multiple choice and four true-false items. Answer key is provided. The first three questions appear in the preview.

Wohlsi's Blog: http://teacherscaughtinthemiddle.blogspot.com/ I began teaching in 1975 and retired in 2007. Early in that 32 years, I tried using all sorts of educational materials created by other experts. I did not consider myself an educational “expert” of any kind at that time, but I definitely had a pretty clear notion of what materials I actually needed to make my style of teaching successful. Six or seven years into the profession, still unable to find anything that really fit, I finally started cutting my own path and producing my own materials. That adventure led me to success. Please download my (somewhat autobiographical) free products to get an idea where my search for educational methods has led.
