Marshmallow Measurement is a yummy and fun way for your kiddos to explore nonstandard measurement! Provide students with mini and regular size marshmallows and allow them to measure and record how long the lines on the printable are.

Marshmallow Measurement would be perfect as a Math tub or center during your study of measurement!

This activity was created with the following Math Common Core standard in mind:
1.MD.2:Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps.

Hi there!
This is adorable! I am having trouble though. All of the words are blurry. I noticed from previous posts that I was not the only one with this problem, and noticed that you mentioned that mac users should open with Adobe but I'm not sure how. It automatically opens with preview. Can you help?

Hey love2teachsped! To open with Adobe in a Mac, make sure Adobe is on your dock at the bottom. To do that, open Applications and then drag Adobe to the dock. Then, go to your downloads folder and drag the PDF on top of the Adobe icon at the bottom! I hope this helps!!!

Wasn't working for me. The pictures came up but all the words were gone and left little blurs. Help! This looks great ad I'd love to use it.

Oh no, Ms KZ! Try updating to the newest version of Adobe Reader. This should fix the problem. Also, if you are a Mac user, make sure you open the download with Adobe and not Preview.

I just found your materials and thought they were great. I wanted to use the corn kernels materials and I tried to download The Legend of the Five Corn Kernels and it has colored square markings on it missing many items.I tried 3 times to download and it looked the same each time. I then tried to download another free item to check it and it looked the same. I haven't had this problem before downloading. Is there something that I am missing?
