Introduce Martin Luther's 95 Theses to your students using this 10-15 minute activity. Students respond to a pretend "Memo" from the principal regarding a new price for their education and passing classes. Students write a complaint with evidence and good reasoning on a card, cards are collected, and a volunteer tapes them to the classroom door. Then, the teacher introduces the shocking truth about how the Catholic Church was charging money for indulgences. Also, included is bulleted lecture notes about Martin Luther's reasons for and effect of the 95 Theses.
