In Spanish! Dogs, cats, mice, fish, birds, reptiles and much more fill this thematic unit! Use the reproducible mini-book to introduce your students to a variety of pets as Brandy the Cat plays with her friends. They can then make a moveable paper pet of their own! This unit is filled with many pet art projects including a crayon-resist goldfish, and a colorful puppy!

The stationery is, of course, in the shape of a cat and a dog, as are the paper bag puppets. There are vocabulary and picture flash cards of all kinds of pets, and a cat-shaped cover for their writing book.

Also included is a Reader's Theater version of the The Tortoise and the Hare, complete with script and stick puppets. Pets introduced in this unit include: bird, cat, dog, fish, frog, guinea pig, hamster, lizard, mouse, rabbit, snake, turtle and others.
