This is a one-page document that is part of my larger money pack.
On this sheet, students count up the value of the coins in the piggy banks and cut them out. They glue them onto the upper part of the sheet to match them with the coin amounts.
The complete money pack includes 22 pages of handouts and activities to practice money concepts including the value of coins, counting up coins and bills, and making different amounts of money. Handouts appropriate for whole class and independent practice are included, as well as a center game and two pages of challenge activities.

*Handouts: Money Values Chart, How Many in a dollar, Ways to Make a Dollar, Least Coins to Make, Match-it-up Money, Label the Money Amounts- 2 pages (Good for whole class and individual practice)
*Money Match Game: match the money amounts with two ways to make it (using coins, and bills). Recording sheet included.
*Money Maker & Money Maker Challenge: Make the different amounts of money using the coins and bills in four ways, Make the amounts of money using a specific amount of coins.
*Money Manipulatives: three pages of printable dollars and cents for kids to practice with, using Ginger Snaps money clipart.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I've taught elementary school for nine years. I spent eight years in fourth grade, and this is my first year in third! I'm a past president of the El Paso Reading Council, the local branch of the International Reading Association, and I'm also a Teacher-Consultant for the West Texas Writing Project, the local site of the National Writing Project. I love to teach all contents, but my heart is in literacy!
