PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This sort reviews solving 1-variable compound inequalities (both AND and OR)

This sort has 4 parts
- Compound inequalities (10 problems)
- Simplified inequalities
- Graph
- Interval Notation

Also included is Student Answer Sheet and Answer Key.

This sort can be used several ways.
Method 1: Using all the parts
o Students work the problem, find the matching answer, graph and interval notation
Method 2: Matching inequality problem to graph or simplified inequality
Method 3: Matching Interval Notation to inequality
Method 4: Matching Interval Notation to graph

This is a great activity. When my students were done with this activity they were much more comfortable with linear inequalities. I had them work in groups, but each had to have their own activity completed. Great conversation during the activity. I was able to walk around and question them and clear up any misconceptions that they had.

This was a great activity for my class. There was one error, however. x < 2 or x > 6
(-∞,2) U (6, ∞)
These 2s should be 3s, as well as the graph of the solution. On the plus side, it was the students who found the error, so it was good practice for them.
