This file is an idependent math center in which students practice two or three digit addition. The center consists of a student instruction sheet and aliens with numbers on their bellies. Students pull two aliens, write the addition problem, and solve. The file contains four seperate sheets of aliens: one set for two-digit with regrouping, one set for two-digit without regrouping, one set for three-digit with regrouping, and one set for three-digit without regrouping.

I have taught in public schools for 15 years. I have experience in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade, but have also worked with children in K, 4th, and 5th. I spent two years teaching a bilingual class, and four teaching ESL. Two evenings a week, I teach as an adjunct professor at the local university; working with pre-service teachers and teachers continuing their education on how to incorporate second language strategies into their classroom instruction.
