This file breaks each standard into I-Can statements. At times, one standard is broken into several I-Can statements to bring the skill into focus a little more clearly. I plan on using this resource as part of my focus wall to show what we are working on at any given time.
The preview file shows three pages from the file to show you how each section of the Math Standards is organized and color-coded. I have included the standard on each card, an I-Can Statement, and examples or other form of clarification of the skill! Happy Teaching!
These I can statements are perfect as we transition to the Common Core.

We are implementing common core for third grade next year and think these are going to be helpful, so helpful, I purchased an additional 3 licensces for my team members!
These "I Can" statements keep me ahead of the game. They help me acquaint myself with the Common Core Standards and help students understand our learning objectives. I love that they're in easy to understand language.

Awesome pictures! Can't wait to put them to good use!
These are so helpful and saved me tons of time! The colorful, eye catching graphics are interesting, as is the student-friendly wording! Well done! I would encourage all teachers to use this in their classrooms!

just awesome - thx for all the work you clearly put into this!
Love these. Did find a couple of misprints I think, but I will definitely use these daily. Glad I found these as this is something I would have done, but they wouldn't have been as cute! Thank you!

Love the Focus Wall for Math CC I Can Headers for 3rd grade. Have you also created one for 4th grade? If not, I'll be the first to purchase one from you when you do! Keep me posted and thanks for making quality materials that fellow educators can implement right away!
Thanks! I plan on making one for 4th grade math over the summer. I ran out of time last summer, and I've been pretty preoccupied with things I need to use with my own third grade kiddos this school year, so it hasn't been too high up on my list. It is in the plans though. :)

Please make these Common Core items (Math and L.A.) for 2nd grade. I will buy them immediately. I like how your pictures go with the standard instead of just going with a theme. Please!!!
Hi, Annemarie. It's on my list, but now that I'm back in school and grad school, I don't have a good idea of when it will be completed. I wish I could pump it out for you right now, but realistically, it may be a little while before I can get around to it. :) Sorry!!! I DO plan on creating a second grade version when I can carve out enough time though!

Do you have a set of these for second grade? I like how your pictures go with the standard instead of just being the same cute little kid or theme.
Annemarie
Hi, Annemarie. I DO plan on creating a set for second grade. I've had a lot of requests. I just don't have the time right now. I will try to fit it in when I can. :) Sorry I couldn't get it done sooner for you!

Thanks for creating these! They're great!
I noticed two things when looking over the product.
On 3.0A 5 it says 8 x 6 but should be 8 x 5.
On 3.NF 1 it says "I know that if one a whole..." instead of "I know that if one whole..."
I'm sorry for the mistakes! :) I can't believe I had two different problems plugged in on 3.0A 5. I am so, so sorry for the inconvenience. I updated and uploaded the new copy! You can download the new one now! Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
