This file contains 3 game boards for students to practice telling time. Time to go Camping focuses on o'clock, TIme to go Hiking works with the half hour and Time to go on a Bear Hunt is quarter after/quarter til.
These game boards are easy prep for the teacher. Copy on colored cardstock and laminate for durability to use over and over. Manipulatives needed are easily found in the classroom and at home. Directions are simple, clear and easy to understand. Kids don't realize they are working on their math skills.
My kiddos played this yesterday and loved it. Thank you for sorting it into three levels so they could all play. My only wish is that the clocks were bigger so they could be read more easily.

My first graders last year used the first two game boards depending on their level. This year, I ma going to use the third game board with my third graders.

I used this as a small group activity for enrichment! The kiddos thought they were superstars!

Another GREAT game. I am going to team it with a sheet where they have to write their time and send it home as a math game after we play it a few times in class. Thanks!
I might be a dingbat, but I thought this was a BINGO sort of time game. Can you explain how you would use dice to play this game? Is each box numbered 1-9 and I need a dice with 9 numbers? Please help. I was hoping to use it and I feel really silly asking you, but I'm just curious how you use it. :0) Thanks!!
You are not a dingbat... I love these questions... it's the technical ones that make me nervous. These games require dice only to determine the hour. So if the kids roll 2 and 5 it's 7:00 or 7:30 (depending on the game board) that they cover.
Hope that helps ;)
I love my days!! Mother by morning, teacher by afternoon and mom by night. I have taught second grade for the past 19 years. I am truly living my childhood dream. I love helping my kiddos engage and explore for more knowledge and opportunities.
