Having students complete math journal entries is a good way to highlight math concepts. In their math journals, students can write their answer, draw their response or both. Their journal entries become reminders of past math exercises and problem solving tasks. Math journal pages can be hole punched and put in math duo tangs.
This math journal entry get students to think about shapes. During shape unit, get students to create their own shapes. They are asked to name and describe their new shapes.
After spending time working on a 2D/3D shape unit with my kinders I was so happy to find this here on TPT. I used it as a warm up activity for the day's lesson and was really impressed with some of the shapes my kids created. Thanks!
