This is a book full of ready to use math journal prompts. Just add kids, math journals and manipulatives and you have independent practice at your finger tips!
All the prompts in this collection have been used in my classroom.
I had been really giving lots of thought to the idea of having my kindgarten students work on Math Journals for the remainder of the school year. I'm so happy that I found this! Thanks so much.

I am new to journaling. Thanks for making the process easier. My kids really like doing them too.
Thanks for your hard work. However, I would have like to see more number combinations with composing and decomposing numbers. Also I would have like to see a more basic font for students to be able to read independently. Otherwise these are very applicable.
These will be great for the beginning of the year. I was hoping for more combinations and number bond work. However, I will definitely use these early in the year. A lot of the prompts were more basic than I was looking for.

kids loved these. I used math journals for part of my professional goals this year and these really helped the kids with math vocabulary.

Do you have prompts for 2nd-4th quarter? The ones I downloded are great, but I am sure you use them early. Thanks!!
Hi Caitlin,
Here is link to a mini set of prompts
http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/FREE-mini-set-of-Math-Journal-Prompts-for-Kindergarten
they are free.
The prompts are set up to either 4 or 5 on a single page. Each page has the same prompt on it, like the free download shows.
Thanks for asking
Karen
The prompts are setup like the free version. There are alittle over 50 pages, with one prompt per page. I am working on a second set that I want to have out by Christmas.
It would be great if your "Math Journal Prompts for Kindergarten" included a cover page for students to glue on the front cover of their journal. I'm planning on making one to use that is 1/2 already done and 1/2 for them to complete/decorate on their own. Great product, by the way! I am now a follower!
