Six measurement centers that will keep your students thinking while they are having fun! These six centers include the following topics: metric units, measuring angles, measuring liters, measuring mass, measuring to 1/8th of an inch, and meeting with the teacher. When I use these in my classroom, my fifth graders are so excited to get to use all of the different tools we have learned to use for measuring. They love that they get to work with their groups and prove to me that they have been listening while I have been teaching! There is a page describing each center, as well as a page including all materials needed.

I have taught for two years, and cannot wait to enter my third year this Fall! In my first year, I taught all subjects to a fifth-grade self contained classroom in Alabama. I moved to Charleston, SC and was lucky enough to get a job right away teaching my favorite subjects, fifth-grade Math and Science! We have turned into a three-way switch now at my school, so I will be teaching fifth-grade math next year. Our school has achieved partial-magnet and our focus is Leadership. I cannot wait to start living these Seven Habits in my life, as well as teaching my students to live it in theirs.
