I used this activity during our school's math night. Students were invited to complete the hunt with their invited guests. Students had fun applying the math skills. As an added bonus, I offered small incentives to everyone who finished the task and larger prizes for first finishers and best estimators. You can adapt this activity and do it during a classroom math lesson as well!

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
I began my teaching career in 1998. During my 10 years of classroom teaching experience, I have worked with students from kindergarten to 5th grade. I am excited to begin this new fork in my career. I am currently working as a Library Media Specialist. Now, EVERYONE is my student. I love inspiring students to appreciate literature and the love of reading. Hopefully, this will be my legacy to them.
